So a few weeks ago I decided to finally take a leap of faith and start my photography business.
I named it, SamRae Studios after my daughter.

I first started taking photos when I was 12 with my Nanay’s Nikon D40 — and after graduating in 2015, my aunties and uncles bought me my first camera, which I still have to this day btw — the Canon 100D.

This is the camera that really got me into photography.
Shots taken with my Canon 100D. Some of my earlier photos at least. ❤

I obviously love photography and getting drained by my 9-5 job. Which leads me back to the title of this blog. I WANT TO VOMIT.
I’ve started the business. Invested in gear. Set up my IG and FB pages, but still no paid shoots here in Australia. My cousins commissioned me some photos when I went back home (THANK YOU ACHIs!), but so far, no paid work here in Australia. I sent out some notices online, my friends shared my post (THANK YOU FRIENDS!), but I’m still shy getting it out there mainly because there are so many better photographers out there and I feel like I am not good enough.
I think I have impostor syndrome. Is this normal? Will I look back at this post next year and say that this was a complete waste of money and time and photography should continue being a hobby? ;( Gawd I hope not.
